About Ian Johnson
Ian Johnson is wildlife photographer and writer located in Fairbanks, Alaska. He grew up in rural Minnesota, completed his undergrad on the shores of Lake Superior, moved to Maine for several years, and is currently seeking a graduate degree in Wildlife Biology from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks with a planned graduation date of December 2015. When not writing thesis or doing research, Ian spends a majority of his time in the field observing and photographing all types of natural phenomenon from bird breeding to the aurora borealis. It is intended to be educational, insightful, and (hopefully) bring inspiring imagery and writing allowing the visitor to live vicariously through its content.
