An iconic boreal species, this Northern Hawk Owl was photographed along the Alaskan Haul Road (Dalton Highway)

I am a wildlife photographer and writer located in Fairbanks, Alaska. I grew up in rural Minnesota, completed my undergrad on the shores of Lake Superior, and moved to Maine for several years. I am currently seeking a graduate degree in Wildlife Biology from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks in association with the Resilience and Adaptation Program, and have with a planned graduation date of December 2015.
